It is getting to be that time of year again that school will soon be starting, and there are children in need of supplies to help them excel in their studies. If you can help in any way to supply those less fortunate with school supplies, here is a list of items needed for our Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) School Kits. Please place your donations in the appropriate labeled boxes by the library under the clothes rack. Thank you in advance for your donations, they will definitely bring joy, hope and encouragement to children who might otherwise struggle to excel.
Items needed (NEW items only, please) are:
- 4 spiral or perforated notebooks (8.5 x 10.5; 70 pages)
- 8 unsharpened pencils
- 1 ruler (flat, good quality, must indicate 30 cm; inch markings optional),
- 12 colored pencils (in packaging)
- 1 large pencil eraser
- 2 new black or blue ballpoint pens
- 1 small metal pencil sharpener (one or two holes),
Note: Beech Women Serving will provide the cloth bags for the kits. Please have all donations in by Sept. 1st. If you would like to make a monetary donation, please place it in the offering, made out to Beech Mennonite Church and designate it for MCC School Kits.
